Currently seeking well qualified and highly motivated chefs to join an experienced kitchen team at our busy coastal hotel in East Gippsland.
The iconic Marlo Hotel is looking for experienced chefs to join our team and work in a brand new state of the art kitchen.
Long regarded as a food and beverage destination in East Gippsland, we sit atop the mouth of the Snowy River in an idyllic country township where the pub truly is the center of the town. Having recently undergone extensive refurbishment of the kitchen with new equipment and purpose built layout, this is an opportunity to work in a premium kitchen while benefitting from all that a coastal lifestyle has to offer.
We pride ourselves on offering great value, high quality pub fare to our high local support base and large tourist trade. Our menu which reflects the rolling green pastures and open waterways that surround us, is regularly transformed by the team to meet the needs of customers and the forever changing trends. Our kitchen values reflect fairness, integrity, encouraging creativity and working as one in a team environment.
Some of the duties you will be required to perform include:
preparing and cooking food and ordering food supplies
planning menus and estimating food and labour costs
monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
discussing food preparation issues with Managers and Front of House staff
explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations
assisting with the training of staff
This is for a full time role of 38 hrs per week.
