We are looking for an experienced Chef to join our team.
The role has various tasks including, but not limited to:
• Creating specials and menus on regular basis;
• Monitoring and managing stock levels;
• Estimating food costs and managing the budget;
• Inspecting food preparation and serving areas to ensure observance of safe sanitary food handling practices;
• Hiring, training and managing kitchen staff;
• Monitoring the full process, from the preparation until the presentation of the food, observing and testing food to determine if it is cooked as needed;
• Seasoning and cooking food according to recipes or personal judgment and experience.
Skills and experience:
• Able to follow direction and work autonomously
• Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine
• Has proven record as a team player and works well with other staff in the kitchen
• Ability to contribute to the efficient and profitable operation of the restaurant
• Has a high standard of food presentation
• Honest, reliable and trustworthy
• At least 2 years of experience
Full Time Position
Salary : $70,000 - $90,000 per year
