SALARY: $85K to $95K plus super
Bradford Constructions is a Gold Coast-based construction company specializing in custom, luxury homes, particularly in coastal and modern designs. Our team is composed of highly skilled architects, designers, and builders working in harmony to deliver exceptional results.
We are looking for a qualified and experienced Carpenter to join our team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Setting out construction sites, levelling, digging trenches and footings, installing trench supports and constructing formwork for concrete;
Measuring, marking-up and cutting timber;
Constructing floors including setting-out sub-floor frames, installing and levelling bearers, installing joists and laying floorboards;
Building and erecting wall framing (studs, trimmers and noggings);
Erecting roof trusses;
Constructing roof framing for pitches roofs (main ridge boards, rafters, under purlins and struts);
Measuring, cutting and hanging gyprock plasterboard to internal stud walls;
Installing internal panelling, architraves and skirting;
Installing window units and door frames and installing windows and doors;
Building and installing cabinetry;
Installing external panelling;
Erecting and dismantling restricted site scaffolding;
Ability to work with hand tools including measuring tape, hammer, chisels, screwdrivers, handsaws and sledgehammer;
Ability to work with power tool including impact drills, circular saws, nail guns, screw guns, mitre saw, electric planes, sanders, sabre saw and multi tool;
Compulsory use of PPE including safety glasses, gloves, ear muffs and dust mask.
REQUIREMENTS:
Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents encouraged to apply
A minimum AQF Certificate III in Carpentry
2 years minimum of hands-on experience in the role
In-depth knowledge of reading drawings.
Strong attention to detail with an aptitude for problem-solving.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
