We are seeking applications Labourers to work at our Bowen Truss Plant. Bowen is a city in North Queensland, Australia.

We are looking for up to 4 workers at our Bowen Truss Plant. Workers can apply and start immediately they pass induction and D&A test. Work is on-going with no end date.

Starting tasks include:
* Set up jig for each truss fabrication job.
* Continually grade timber to ensure the fabrication of structurally sound trusses.
* Places pre-cut timber parts in jig in specified sequence and position, and activates mechanism that clamps parts together.
* Pressing nail plates as set out by the production sheet.
* Notify the truss supervisor of technical difficulties.
* Release clamp and stacks completed trusses on skid.
* Lift out jigs to stack outside.

You need to be able to:
* Meet deadlines and goals
* Turn up for work, every day
* Work as part of a team and sometimes individually
* Perform repetitive manual handling tasks
* Show initiative and motivation
* Take direction, comply with and adhere to, Parkside Policies and Procedures.

What we can offer:
* We pay Timber Industry Award 2020 hourly rates (starting rate is $24.10). Pay rates increase the more jobs you can do/the more machines you can run, in and around the plant.
* 38 hour week
* Secure ongoing permanent employment.

Please note - successful candidates will be required to pass drug and alcohol screening.
