Our client is looking for a sales trader to join their company based out of Melbourne
This role is ideal for an experienced Sales Trader with strong interpersonal skills seeking work in a fast-paced, challenging and team-focused environment. This role is suited for someone who has previous client service experience and thrives on interacting and assisting clients with a wide range of queries. You will also need to have previous experience working with FX, CFD's and leverage trading.
Your role in the team
As a fully qualified Sales Trader your role will be to help deliver world-class and industry leading support to their global client base as well as place trades for clients over the phone on both their Over -The-Counter (OTC) and Direct Market Access (DMA) offerings. They are looking for people with a passion for providing excellent customer service and who have an interest in learning more about financial markets.
What you’ll do
Utilize their cutting edge cloud-based contact center to provide dealing and admin support on OTC derivatives and DMA offering to their global customers base across phone, email and web chat.
Champion the customers and bring the customers experience to the forefront
Deliver a strong understanding of various financial instruments such as Stocks, Leveraged Options, Leveraged Futures, FX, Cryptocurrencies, Bonds, Commodities and Exchange Traded Futures
Provide trading expertise on P&L and margin calculations, order types, fees and charges, trade assistance and investigations.
Provide an execution-only phone dealing service for the clients products.
Assist with advanced platform queries on MT4, ProRealTime, TradingView and the clients Web Trading Platform and mobile applications
Run Margin Calls to impacted accounts, investigate and resolve disputes with internal Compliance teams.
Liaise with internal departments, local and global internal stakeholders to deliver customers servicing projects.
Developing new starters with initial on-boarding training, shadow sessions and develop them towards our internal Trade Execution Test.
Conduct Root Cause Analysis on the negative detractors we receive, report and present to the relevant stakeholders.
Initiating outbound contact to inform customers about changes to the clients offering and services.

What you’ll need for this role
A genuine interest of working in financial markets, along with motivation levels as impressive as your aptitude for numbers and attention to detail – plus:
A minimum of 2 year of experience as a Sales Trader post Trade Execution Test
Knowledge and ability to provide an execution-only phone dealing service on our OTC and DMA offering
An undergraduate/masters degree (preferable) in Economics
Able to work as part of a team and collaboratively with local and global internal stakeholders
Proven experience in delivering multiple client servicing projects
Fluency in English (written and spoken)
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work well under pressure
A logical and analytical approach to problem solving
Confident to employ basic maths skills, particularly mental arithmetic
Strong organisational and time management skills
Salary: AUD $75,000 plus superannuation
