Position Title: Mechanical Engineering Technician
Salary: From $74,000 to $80,000 plus 11.5 % Superannuation
Lubrification Engineering Pty Ltd are looking for an experienced and qualified Mechanical Engineering Technician for an immediate start. This position is a full-time ongoing position, working 38 hours per week based in Glendenning, NSW 2761.
The Mechanical Engineering Technician will be responsible for the following duties:
· Provide supports for other technicians and engineers in mechanical assembling and installation;
· Ability to interpret technical literature including assembly drawing;
· Decide on the correct use of tools and equipment for routine and non-routine lubrication functions;
· Disassembling the entire system, including the lubricants distributors, grease and oil pump, filters and purifier, hydraulics and lubrication systems to conduct field testing and/or identify lubrification issues;
· Maintaining records of mechanical technical services and document procedures.
· Conducting the restock supplies check and report parts availability to support internal and customers projects;
· Attending site-based breakdown assistance for lubrication related issues.
· Completing programmed inspection and lubrication of equipment, collecting samples for evaluation, providing technical advice, and suggesting actions to enhance product performance as needed;
· Conducting fault finding, testing and commission of lubrication systems;
· Performing assigned tasks in relation to assembly of equipment, servicing of customer and inhouse equipment, on-site servicing, installation and commissioning of lubrications equipment in accordance with organisational standards;
· Understanding and applying fundamental lubrication concepts such as Viscosity, NLGI #’s, ISO Cleanliness Codes and Beta Filter Rating.
· Test all mechanical parts after being repaired to ensure repairs are adequately completed.
For this position it is expected that you would possess the following qualifications and work experience:
· A Certificate IV in Engineering, Diploma or higher qualification with a major in Mechanical Engineering and at least 2 years of full-time experience working in a Mechanical Engineering Technician role. This formal qualification can be substituted by at least 3 years of work experience in a Mechanical Engineering Technician role.
Attributes such as the ability to performance under pressure working as a Mechanical Engineering Technician will be highly regarded.
