Our client, Advance Nursing is a trusted provider of high-quality healthcare services based in Wollongong, NSW. They are seeking a full-time (38+ hours per week) Enrolled Nurse to join their team. Specialising in delivering comprehensive nursing care, the company offers a wide range of services designed to meet the diverse needs of individuals in the local community. They provide in-home care, medical support, or rehabilitation services, Advance Nursing prides itself on its commitment to compassionate, professional care.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Registered Nurse (RN) and Nurse Unit Manager (NUM), ensuring alignment with clinical goals and standards of care.

The annual salary for this job is $73,150 plus superannuation.

Position Overview:

The Enrolled Nurse (EN) will play a vital role in providing high-quality nursing care to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). They will be responsible for delivering direct patient care, ensuring patients' comfort and well-being, and assisting with clinical duties in accordance with established healthcare standards and protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide basic nursing care, including personal hygiene, mobility assistance, and feeding support.

• Administer medications as per scope of practice and under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

• Monitor and record patient observations such as vital signs, fluid intake and output, and report any changes in patient condition to the supervising RN.

• Assist in wound care, dressing changes, and other routine clinical procedures.

• Participate in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care plans.

• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure holistic care for patients.

• Maintain accurate documentation and update patient records as required.

• Support and educate patients and their families regarding ongoing care and treatments.

• Adhere to infection control protocols and safety procedures to maintain a clean and safe environment.

• Assist in preparing patients for medical procedures and surgeries.

• Provide emotional support to patients and their families, fostering a compassionate and respectful environment.

• Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Diploma of Nursing or equivalent qualification.

• Current registration with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency).

• Medication administration endorsement (if applicable).

• Previous experience of one to two (1-2) years in a clinical or aged care setting is preferred.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

• Knowledge of infection control standards and patient safety practices.

• Demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively.
