The Role:
We require a qualified motor mechanic who is passionate about their work, can work independently & in a team with diagnostic skills. Must have good communication skills and work precisely. We are looking for someone flexible, reliable & hard working to
• detecting and diagnosing faults in engines and parts
• dismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components, and checking parts
• repairing and replacing worn and defective parts and reassembling mechanical components, and referring to service manuals as needed
• performing scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrications and engine tune-ups, to achieve smoother running of vehicles and ensure compliance with pollution regulations
• reassembling engines and parts after being repaired
• testing and adjusting mechanical parts after being repaired for proper performance
• diagnosing and testing parts with the assistance of computers
Additional responsibilities include keeping a clean and tidy work environment, performing workshop maintenance, and performing other jobs within the trade. Some knowledge of auto-electrical work would be an advantage
This is a full-time position Monday - Friday. Competitive Salary will reflect experience level & performance.
Requirements:
Experience as a fully qualified Automotive Mechanic with a minimum of 1.5 Years’ Experience
Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent
Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis
ASCIS Examiner accreditation (Pink Slip inspections) is desirable
NSW motor vehicle tradesperson certificate
NSW Driver’s License
Great at working in a Team
Good Diagnostic Skills
Motivated & Willing to learn Attention to detail
Must Have your Tools
Some knowledge of auto-electrical work would be an advantage
