KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Personal Care: Provide daily assistance with personal hygiene tasks, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility support.
Domestic Assistance: Support clients with light housekeeping tasks, meal preparation, and laundry, ensuring a clean and safe living environment.
Medication Management: Assist clients with medication reminders and ensure compliance with prescribed treatment plans.
Companionship and Social Support: Offer emotional support, engage clients in social activities, and promote positive interactions to combat isolation.
Disability and NDIS Support: Provide tailored assistance to NDIS participants, supporting their individual goals and enhancing their quality of life.
Dementia and Cognitive Care: Deliver specialized care for clients with dementia or cognitive decline, focusing on safety, memory care, and personalized activities.
Post-Operative Care: Assist clients with rehabilitation and recovery following surgery, ensuring comfort, safety, and adherence to care plans.
Nursing Care Support: Collaborate with nursing staff for skilled care tasks, such as wound care and vital signs monitoring, under appropriate supervision.
REQUIREMENTS:
Australian citizens and permanent residents are encouraged to apply.
Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Disability, or Home and Community)
1 Year of Experience in a Similar Role
Demonstrated experience in providing care and support for elderly or disabled clients, preferably in a home care or community setting.
Compassion and Empathy: Ability to connect with clients and provide care with sensitivity and respect.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills for interacting with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and provide timely care services.
Attention to Detail: Ensure client care plans are followed accurately, and any changes in condition are reported promptly.
Cultural Competence: Awareness and sensitivity to the diverse backgrounds and needs of clients.
