This hospital supports an estimated resident population of 289,000 and is a 531 bed facility We are on the lookout for a permanent Staff Specialist Cardiologist (Non invasive Cardiology/Cardiac Imaging) for a full-time contract in Far North Queensland. The Cardiac Services Department comprises two inpatient areas: a 12 bed Cardiac Care Unit and a 12 bed Cardiac Ward and 2 dedicated cardiac catheterisation laboratories. The department is committed to to providing holistic care for patients with cardiac disease with a strong emphasis on providing value based health care for communities. Registration as a Specialist Medical Practitioner in Cardiology with the Medical Board of Australia/Australian Health Practitioner Registration Authority (AHPRA). Fellowship experience in heart failure / multi modal cardiac imaging – echocardiography (transthoracic, transoesophageal and stress), CT coronary angiography / Cardiac MRI. While not mandatory, previous experience in cardiac genetics would be well regarded. Previous experience in a regional or tertiary cardiac centre would be desirable. Remuneration value up to $497,941 p.a. (L25 - L27) or Remuneration value up to $455,624 p.a. (L18 - L24) Salary: $251,527- $266,677 per annum (L25 – L27) $210,332 - $244,313 per annum (L18 – L24) Employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) Annual Leave Loading (17.5%) Professional Development Allowance Motor Vehicle Allowance Professional Development Leave 3.6 weeks p.a. plus Private Practice Arrangements.
