Bullinah AHS has partnered with Southern Cross University (SCU) to support the implementation and delivery of the Birthing on Country (BOC) initiative at the local level.
The BOC Coordinator role will work in partnership with SCU to support the implementation and delivery of the Birthing on Country initiative at the local level. This includes supporting community-led research and consultation processes aimed at understanding what Birthing on Country means in our community, and providing continuity of care to pregnant women and new mothers, ensuring cultural integrity in maternal care practices. The BOC Coordinator will work closely with the local cultural advisors and community groups to ensure the program meets the needs of the community and is culturally safe. The role involves both clinical service delivery, and active participation in community engagement and research activities, and ensuring project outcomes are met.
