MOORE CONTRACTING SOLUTIONS In this position you will pro-actively assist the growing function to achieve maximum product yield and quality by the daily environmental control of the crop through cultural practices, hygiene procedures, and monitoring of pests and diseases.You will work closely with our team to ensure the health and vitality of our plants, optimise growing conditions, and contribute to the success of our farm. Task & Responsibilities Supervising key growth indicators within farm fields. Managing and overseeing watering needs for crops. Regularly inspecting and maintaining equipment and facilities. Applying growth parameters to filling and spawning processes to ensure optimal growing conditions. Assisting with harvesting by providing daily and weekly crop estimates. Offering guidance to harvesting personnel regarding selective picking methods for each growing area. Organising and conducting farming operations, such as collecting, storing, grading, and packaging produce, and organising the sale, purchase, and despatch of produce.. Effectively communicating and reporting growing, crop, and disease information in meetings or farm reports as necessary. Using chemicals in adherence to recommended guidelines and safety protocols. Keeping and analysing records of farming activities, and strategizing crop production to meet demand of the buyers.Potentially recruiting, training, and supervising staff. Qualification & Experience Having prior experience (2 years) in a similar role or industry is helpful. The ideal candidate should be in good physical shape since the role involves various physical tasks like watering, etc. Strong problem-solving abilities. Effective communication skills.
