Details: The Coroners Court conducts inquests into deaths which occurred, or are suspected to have occurred, in particular circumstances and to conduct inquiries into fires and natural disasters if so requested, or, in the case of fires, on the Coroners own initiative. The Coroner is required to make findings in respect of an inquest about the identity of a deceased person and the cause of death, or in an inquiry, about the cause and origin of fire. In both cases, the Coroner must determine whether any matters of public safety is found to arise.
