Restaurant manager – High end European Wine Bar/Restaurant

Salary: $70,000.00-80,000.00 plus super - Full time position
Located in one of the trendiest laneways of the Eastern Suburbs, Bay Street Wine Bar Operations Pty Ltd t/a Bibo Wine Bar is searching for a strong restaurant manager/sommelier to join our incredibly talented and strong team on a full time basis. With our floor staff having worked for some of Sydney’s top restaurant, high the level of service and extensive knowledge are required.
Designed to have a chilled-out ambience and a relaxed feel to dining, this European venue is stocked with some of the best wines in town and a regular for locals and corporates who enjoy a fine dining experience in a casual setting. The atmosphere can be quiet and intimate during the week and then bustling, loud and fun on busy Friday nights. It really caters for everyone.
The food is bold and of a high quality with a strong French base but inspiration from all over Europe. The menu showcases classic flavours and seasonal produce, letting the ingredients speak for themselves.
The position is for a full time restaurant manger/sommelier and will include the following tasks:
-Update the menu with the chefs
-Ordering and pricing of the beverage program with the sommelier
-Take reservations, organised and run functions, events and a la carte service
-Rostering, training and supervising the staff
-Conferring with costumers to asses their satisfaction with meals and service
-Ensuring dining facilities comply with health and safety regulation.
-Work nights and weekends.
The ideal candidate will have:
· at least two (2) years relevant work experience as a manager
· a fine dining or hatted background
· a passion for service and costumers.
· knowledge about wine from around the world (especially french), bar knowledge, and management skills.
