Looking to cement their reputation as well as continue to grow the business, they are embarking on the next stage of their development plan and are now seeking a Software Engineer. The role is full time and ongoing.
Reporting to the management team, the Software Engineer will assist with on-site and remote support, helping clients resolve technical issues efficiently and effectively. This role requires a unique blend of technical expertise, creativity, and problem-solving skills to address IT challenges to keep operations running smoothly. The Software Engineer will work closely with other developers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure that all IT operations are functional, secure, and user-friendly.
Location – the role is based in Fitzroy, VIC
Key Responsibilities include:
• Software Development: Writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code for various applications and systems.
• Web Development: Creating and maintaining web applications that are user-friendly and responsive.
• System Integration: Collaborating with other engineers to integrate software and systems.
• Troubleshooting: Identifying and resolving technical issues to ensure the smooth operation of our software products.
• Client Interaction: Working with clients to understand their requirements and provide technical solutions.
• Project Management: Participating in project planning, estimation, and execution to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Continuous Improvement: Staying updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve our software offerings
Skills and Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field, or agreed substitute.
• At least 2 to 3 years (preferably more) post-graduate experience in software development with a verifiable portfolio of completed projects.
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, or other relevant languages.
• Experience with software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
• Experience with web development frameworks and technologies such as HTML, CSS, React, Angular, or Node.js.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders.
• Knowledge of database management, application security principles, and cloud services is highly desirable.
