About the Position
Job Title: Tax Accountant
Job Type: Permanent Full-Time
Salary: $80,000 per annum plus superannuation

Duties and Responsibilities
You will be providing business advisory and taxation services to a diverse range of clients in the Mid-West region. You will be responsible for the completion of Financial Statements, Business Activity Statements and Income Tax & Fringe Benefit Tax Returns for companies, partnerships, trusts and individuals.
Your tasks will include, but are not limited to the following:
• Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements) for a variety of clients (individuals, partnerships, companies, trusts) in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards.
• Tax Return Preparation: Complete and lodge income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, companies, trusts, and self-managed superannuation funds, ensuring compliance with all relevant tax legislation.
• Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) Returns: Prepare and lodge FBT returns, accurately calculating and reporting fringe benefits provided to employees.
• Business Activity Statements (BAS) / Instalment Activity Statements (IAS): Prepare and lodge BAS and IAS, ensuring accurate reporting of GST, PAYG withholding, and other relevant taxes.
• Accounting & Tax Advice: Provide proactive and responsive accounting and tax advice to clients, addressing their specific needs and circumstances.
• Client Liaison: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
Qualifications and Relevant Experience Required
• CA/CPA qualified or actively pursuing CA/CPA certification.
• 2+ years of experience in a business services and taxation accountant role within a public practice.
• Proven experience working within the Australian Taxation System.
Other Skills Required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Professional presentation and demeanour.
