The Communications Advisor works alongside the Senior Communication Advisor to deliver Gladstone communication for Rio Tinto. An experienced hands-on communicator, the successful applicant will be an industry professional, capable and experienced in an often fast-paced environment. Working collaboratively with Gladstone and Brisbane teams, they will have strong writing skills and a good track record of delivering planned communication tactics with limited supervision. Theyll be considered a safe set of hands with the basics, including day to day site communications and also understand when to escalate issues and opportunities aligned with the Rio Tinto communication framework. The successful applicant will be comfortable engaging with a broad range of stakeholders. Their role is a busy one and they should be results-driven and confident in prioritising tasks and activities as required.
