Nuplas Group Pty Ltd As an experienced Apiarist you will join an established family business in the Swan Hill region of North-west Victoria, 370km from Melbourne. You will often work independently but within a supportive and caring environment. You will be expected to follow safety and OH&S procedures and use your experience and enthusiasm to support the growth of the business. Benefits Visa and relocation support will be available. Forklift and heavy vehicle licence training will also be offered. The role includes annual leave, superannuation and provision of a work vehicle. Task & Responsibilities Tasks and responsibilties include: Weekly monitoring of and maintaining the health and condition of the hives Travelling required for pollination and feed opportunities Honey extraction Queen breeding and management Pest and weed control Maintaining equipment and related supply systems Maintaining written and online records and reports and provide alerts of risks May sometimes help train or supervise new or junior staff or contractors Qualification & Experience Experience in all aspects of beekeeping is essential Australian recognised training and certification would be an advantage Experience in queen rearing is desirable, training will be available Heavy vehicle and forklift licences would be an advantage.
