Your new role
The Environment Technician is a temporary position for the period December to April . The role will primarily support the Core Environmental Team to undertake the wet season environmental monitoring program, including sampling of surface and groundwater samples, at the Grants mine and BP33 project on the Coxs Peninsular, Bynoe. Additional tasks include operation of water transfer pumps, weed spraying and site maintenance, including fire break maintenance for asset protection.
What you'll need to succeed
Tasks include:
Environmental monitoring includes surface and groundwater sampling and monitoring.
Sample delivery to laboratories.
Re-fuelling, daily checks, operation and relocation of trailer mounted diesel water transfer pumps.
Weed spraying using vehicle mounted unit.
Brushcutting / firebreak maintenance for asset protection.
Assist with other reasonable tasks including mine and sediment basin water treatment.
