The Aged & Community Care Taskforce (the Taskforce) commenced on 15 January , and covers two streams:
In-home supports that enable veterans and war widow/ers to remain in their home longer (Community Nursing and Veterans' Home Care)
Residential Aged Care.
The Taskforce will explore opportunities to maintain the short-term viability and longer-term sustainability of Veterans' Home Care and Community Nursing services.
The Taskforce will explore improvements for veterans and war widow/ers in residential aged care, work with stakeholders on communication, information and support, and boost DVA's capability to assist and support veterans and families facing the transition into aged care and navigating that complex eco-system.
