Baxter Transport are seeking motivated and reliable Mixed Production Farm Workers/Farm Hands to join their team in Berrigan NSW 2712. The ideal candidates will have a passion for agriculture, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work in a fast-paced outdoor environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform cropping operations and support activities, including land preparation, sowing, crop maintenance, spraying and harvest activities using broadacre equipment
- Maintain and keep farming equipment and infrastructure in good working condition ensuring safety standards are followed.
- Loading and unloading seed grain, fertilisers and livestock feed, and loading produce into assigned transport configurations
- Operating water supply and irrigation systems
- Feeding and handling livestock to maintain their health and welfare
- Mustering and droving livestock to shearing sheds and between paddocks to ensure sufficient feed is available
Your experience and skill set is likely to include:
- Previous experience working on a farm
- Adaptability to multitask and follow instructions
- Show initiative to identify and solve problems individually or as part of a team
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Knowledge and use of various farming equipment and general maintenance of same
- Hands on experience or capability to learn electronic equipment and software as majority of the machinery is automated
- Willing to submit to background/drug checks and provide employment recommendations
- A good understanding of the agricultural industry
- Enjoy living in a regional area
Salary range is $70,000-$85,000pa commensurate with experience
