Dunkeld Pastoral Co Pty Ltd is a family-owned business with its principal base at Dunkeld in the Southern Grampians region of Victoria. The company is extremely diverse, with activities across the agricultural, horticultural, conservation land management, property, and hospitality sectors (the Royal Mail Hotel with Parker St Project and 2-hatted Wickens restaurants).
ABOUT THE POSITION
Full-time position available for immediate start
Monday – Friday role based in our Dunkeld office (approx. 3 hours from Melbourne, VIC and 25 mins from Hamilton, VIC)
As an Accountant, you will have a significant impact on our financial performance and contribute to our continued success. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Accountant will:
Prepare and analyse periodic reports, including profit and loss, balance sheets and cash flow reports
Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and ongoing budget monitoring
Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and tax obligations
Provide financial advice and recommendations to management
Support the company's financial planning and strategic decision-making processes
Collaborate with other members of the accounting team
Prepare Business Activity Statements (BAS)
Collaborate with various departments to streamline processes and improve efficiencies within the finance function.
Supporting our business interests in farming, conservation, hospitality, gardens, property and investments, you will have the opportunity to be involved in an exciting and diverse range of work.
ABOUT YOU
You will be a resilient, energetic, and self-motivated individual who is keen to get stuck in and get the job done. You will be adaptable to changing business priorities.
Ideally, you will have:
A tertiary qualification in accounting, commerce, business, management or similar
Previous relevant experience in management accounting or finance role
Strong technical accounting skills, including proficiency in financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail
Proven track record of providing high-quality financial advice and insights to management
Proficient in the use of accounting software, Microsoft Excel and other business systems
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
An unrestricted driver’s licence and valid police check are requirements for this position.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise with all levels of staff across our organisation.

REMUNERATION
A remuneration package commensurate with skills and experience will be negotiated with the successful candidate between $73,150 - $95,000 p.a. plus superannuation per annum.
