The Client:

Located in Clyde North in VIC is our client who is a full-service accounting and financial management firm providing tailored financial and business solutions designed to meet individual business needs.

They seek an experienced accountant to join their team based out of their office at Clyde North in VIC.





The Role:

It is for a full time role with an annual salary between $75,000 to $80,000, depending on experience plus superannuation.





The Responsibilities:

Correct record maintenance in accordance with accounting and tax standards and requirements.

Undertaking reconciliation activities in regards to invoicing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank statements, inventories, line of credit and general ledgers (including sub ledgers)

Reviewing, investigating, and correcting errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.

Reconciling, coding, entering, and maintaining, weekly, monthly, quarterly reports and undertaking follow-up activities for various departmental budgets and reports

Preparing reports on areas of efficiency increase, cost reduction, profit leakages by reviewing efficacy of control processes.

Participating and providing inputs in preparation of management accounting, profitability reports, and cash flow analysis. Providing inputs for accounting and tax strategies to managements.

Providing inputs for statutory reporting for BAS, Annual reports, ASIC and ATO reporting

Resolving collections and customer payment plans

Preparing and processing payrolls

Conducting financial investigations, preparing reports and advising on matters such as the purchase and sale of businesses/ outlets, mergers, capital financing, suspected fraud and taxation

Managing the accounting information system

Maintaining internal control systems

Preparation of financial reports and tax returns

Assisting with tax compliance.

Reconciling balances and handling monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.

Handling multi-client accounts and documents and working with multiple software/Platforms.

Responsible for documentation and maintaining financial records in a timely and accurate manner.

Managing, coordinating, and allocating tasks to the bookkeeping staff and junior accountants.

Assisting in the preparation of high-quality financial and management reporting.

Ensuring all payroll transactions of clients are processed efficiently.

Providing support to the Management and assisting other Finance roles.

Assist with other day-to-day operations of the accounting, finance function, and administrative duties.





The Requirements:

At least a Bachelor’s degree in accounting from an accredited university.

Must have at least 2 years of relevant Australian experience as an accountant

At least 2 years of professional experience Income Tax, GST

At least 2 years of commercial practice in Class SMSF Administration Software and MYOB AE

Must have experience working with the MYOB, XERO and QUICK BOOK accounting software systems

Demonstrated commercial acumen to understand the dynamics of a complex evolving industry

Detail oriented, ability to multitask, work independently and prioritise tasks

Knowledge in

Ability to organise, plan and manage, together with the capacity to prioritise for self and coordinate input from others to deliver timely results
