About the role:
Digifort Pty Ltd is a rapidly growing company currently seeking a Computer Network and System Engineer who is specialized in network installation, Video Surveillance security, and Microsoft support and has deep experience in Video Management Systems (VMS), including Video Analytics.
You will be responsible for
Responsibilities include:
• Analysing and interpreting complex system design including tender documents.
• Delivering and documenting customer projects.
• Installing and configuring Digifort software servers.
• Providing network programming in support of specific business needs and requirements in a VMS environment.
• Supporting customers with a wide variety of platforms and new technologies.
• Building and configuring VMS, servers (Recording and Analytics), and storage for recordings and archiving.
• Installing, configuring, testing, maintaining, and administering new and upgraded VMS servers as well as workstations with our VMS platform.
• Ensuring the overall operational readiness of VMS systems.
• Joint development of concepts and solutions.
• Assessing and recommending improvements to network operations and integrated hardware, software, communications, and operating systems
• Analysis of monitoring events, proactive identification of performance bottlenecks and taking measures to optimize operations.
• Preparing and maintaining procedures and documentation for network inventory
• Recording diagnosis and resolution of network faults, network enhancements and modifications, and maintenance instructions.
Skills & Experience
• Must have experience working in a managed service environment.
• Must have experience working in video surveillance security, VMS and analytics.
. A bachelor's degree and at least three years experience is required
• Demonstrated experience in IT networks and data centres.
• Understanding of systems and architectures to meet client needs.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver in a rapidly evolving technical environment.
• Knowledge of cloud technologies.
• Understanding of Network technology and Networking principles (e.g., VLAN’s, Subnetting, Firewalls, Proxies etc.)
• Understanding of Active Directory, Virtual technologies, DHCP, PXE, Anti-Virus, MS Office, OpenVPN etc.
• Excellent communication skills with staff, clients, and partners.
• Time management, ability to prioritise and deliver to schedule.
