Salary: $74,000 to $80,000 p.a. plus super
Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and organized Storeperson to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the receipt, storage, and distribution of goods in the warehouse or storage facility. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, good organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. You will play a key role in maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring smooth operations across the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:
• Receive and check incoming goods and deliveries to ensure accuracy and quality, ensuring all products are in good condition.
• Organize and store inventory in a safe, orderly manner to maximize space and ensure easy access.
• Maintain accurate records of stock levels and inventory movements using manual logs or warehouse management systems (WMS).
• Pick, pack, and prepare goods for dispatch, ensuring that orders are fulfilled accurately and efficiently.
• Conduct regular stock checks and assist with periodic stocktakes and inventory audits.
• Ensure that all goods are properly labeled, tagged, and stored according to company procedures and safety regulations.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
• Assist with loading and unloading trucks, using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment as necessary.
• Report any discrepancies, damages, or issues with stock to management promptly.
• Communicate effectively with other warehouse staff, supervisors, and team members to ensure smooth operations.
• Perform general warehouse duties such as sweeping, cleaning, and minor maintenance tasks.
Qualifications:
• Previous experience in a storeperson or warehouse role is preferred.
• Basic understanding of inventory management and stock control.
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and stock trolleys is a plus
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks at once.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
• Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety and quality standards.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy items
• Basic computer skills for data entry or use of warehouse management software.
