They are seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician with a minimum of 3 years in the field, particularly skilled in conventional HVAC systems and hydronic air source heat pumps to work across Sydney region. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to manage tasks independently and efficiently. This role offers training in geothermal systems, expanding your expertise in cutting-edge HVAC technologies.
Your Primary Responsibilities:
• Perform routine inspections of HVAC systems, including duct cleaning, filter replacements, and refrigerant level checks. Conduct system calibrations to improve performance and energy efficiency.
• Install, service, and repair ventilation systems, hydronic air source heat pumps, and various HVAC components such as compressors and pumps. Identify and resolve electrical and mechanical faults to ensure optimal system functionality.
• Diagnose complex technical issues, troubleshooting both mechanical and electrical aspects of HVAC systems. Provide warranty services and complete necessary repairs to restore functionality.
• Measure, cut, and connect piping using welding equipment, ensuring precise installation and system integrity.
• Maintain comprehensive service logs, detailing work performed, customer interactions, and system diagnostics. Communicate system issues and recommended solutions professionally and clearly to customers.
• Receive training in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of geothermal heat pump systems, preparing you to handle future geothermal projects.
Skills & Qualifications:
• Proven experience in HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair across residential, commercial, and industrial environments.
• Expertise in diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical issues in HVAC systems, including hydronic air source heat pumps.
• Hands-on experience with system calibrations to ensure optimal energy efficiency.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC industry standards and safety protocols.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills, with experience providing professional customer support.
• Relevant trade certifications or equivalent qualifications.
• Valid Driving licence
