Griffith City Council are currently looking to recruit an experienced and qualified Diesel Mechanic to join their team in Griffith NSW 2680.
The successful candidate will need to undertake and possess:
- Diagnose, repair and maintain machinery and equipment, including diesel and petrol engines, light vehicles, heavy vehicles (trucks), road making plant and equipment, Waste disposal plant and equipment, grounds care equipment, pumps, plant and vehicle air conditioning systems.
- Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, transmissions, engines, and other parts of vehicles, and other heavy plant machinery/equipment
- Do routine maintenance, such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and parts on vehicles and other heavy plant machinery/equipment
- Make and provide records of work output including times of work, assigning of job cost numbers and plant maintenance records.

- Ideally have a minimum of 3 years’ experience as a qualified Diesel Mechanic
- A certificate III in automotive diesel engine technology, automotive diesel fuel technology or another related
- Ability to work in a team environment
Salary range is $70,000 - $85,000pa commensurate with experience
