Kogan People Solutions are delighted to be associated with this primary industry stalwart who have generations of stock knowledge flowing through their veins, who are stockyard designers with lifetimes of stock and construction experience.

Designs are based on a real passion to ensure stock flow by utilising instinct and natural animal behaviour, allowing for ethical stock handling through minimum force required.

As they grow the business, they have identified the need for a qualified skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join them. The role is full time and ongoing.

Location – Wagga Wagga NSW

Salary – negotiable in the range $70k to $90k plus superannuation per annum

About the role:

Endlessly updating and enlarging their mechanical plant and equipment, our client requires a qualified Mechanical Engineer to work with the management team as they execute their plans. Along with other members of the team, you will be responsible for applying your expertise to solving complex mechanical engineering issues. You will work closely with the Management team, allocating resources and ensuring successful delivery of projects.

Responsibilities include:

• Designing mechanical equipment, creating plans for mechanical machinery and systems of the manufacturing equipment, ensuring they meet performance requirements and safety standards.

• Analysing mechanical systems, evaluating mechanical components and systems to improve functionality, efficiency, and reliability. This may involve testing prototypes or modifying existing equipment.

• Oversee the implementation of mechanical engineering projects, including planning timelines, coordinating resources, and ensuring projects are completed within budget.

• Conducting safety inspections and tests to ensure equipment complies with safety standards and regulatory requirements.

You should be able to demonstrate the following attributes and strengths to be considered:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a highly relevant discipline.

• At least 2 to 3 years (preferably more) post-graduate professional experience.

• Demonstrated and verifiable mechanical engineering experience within the automotive accessory industry is desirable.

• Developed skills in injection moulding, die cutting and CNC routing machinery would be welcomed.

• Competent in engineering design drawings & simulations.

• Experience in the coordination of company resources.

• Highly focused on the measurement, management and reporting of projects costs.

• Strong IT skills (ideally including products such as AutoCAD)

• Solid references.

• Excellent communication skills, patience and empathy.

• You have the right to work full time in Australia without restriction.
