On behalf of our client, OSM Thome – Australia, we are advertising. They are currently looking for an ETO to join their Perth WA team on a full-time basis.
OSM Thome are a marine manning agency that provide offshore crews to vessels around Australia and New Zealand supporting Oil and Gas, commercial fishing, research and the renewables sectors.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- The Electrician/ETR/ETO shall in co-operation with as for the rest of personnel within the technical department ensure of safe running of all electrical machinery & material.
- If Charterer expresses for the Electrician's/ETR/ETO service for Charters equipment, Electrician/ETR/ETO can be called for such service. However, such service must be clarified in advance by electrician superiors, Master/Chief Engineer.
- The Electrician/ETR/ETO shall ensure all tasks regarding the electrical equipment on board are carried out as instructed by Operator.
- The Electrician/ETR/ETO carries out maintenance and cleaning of electrical parts in accordance with the databased maintenance system, Chief Engineer's instructions and good seamanship.
- Updates the maintenance system when jo -orders have been completed and maintains spare part stock.
- Assists Chief Engineer and Master in all respects were found necessary.
- Maintenance and Inspection of all DP-related electronic equipment on bridge & E/R and related computer systems.
- Keep the Chief Engineer updated on work done and consumption of spare parts and stores and all future requirements of electrical spare parts and stores.
Skills & Experience:
- At least three years relevant experience
- Certification and courses according to Flag State rules and regulations.
- Electrician/ETR/ETO shall at all times comply with his/her duty in accordance with rules and regulation of the Flag State and IMO regarding their function.
