seeking an experienced Cook to join our dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of multi-cuisine recipes on the restaurant menu.
- Oversee kitchen operations and supervise/train kitchen staff as necessary.
- Utilize specialized cooking equipment for ethnic cuisine.
- Develop new recipes tailored to specific dietary requirements of customers and
management.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff regarding cooking procedures.
- Work independently with minimal supervision when required.
- May be required to assist the head chef in menu planning and requisitioning food and
kitchen supplies.
- Maintain cleanliness in kitchen and work areas, and perform related duties as needed.
- Examine food quality to ensure standards are met.
Requirements:
- Trade Qualifications in Commercial Cookery (AQF Certificate III or Equivalent).
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Good health and hygiene practices.
- Proficiency in all aspects of cookery.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and during late evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions.
