Gerard Malouf and Partners As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. You will work closely with various legal departments and management team to provide financial insights and support business decisions. Prepare financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for cost reduction. Ensure timely and accurate tax reporting and compliance. Prepare budgets and forecasts and assist in the development of financial plans. Support internal and external audits as required. Provide advice on cost controls, revenue enhancement, and other financial performance improvements. Qualification & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent qualification). Minimum of 3 years of professional accounting experience. Strong understanding of accounting principles, taxation laws, and financial regulations. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., MYOB, Xero, or similar). Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience in financial analysis. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. A CPA or CA qualification (or progress towards obtaining one) is highly desirable, though not mandatory Experience in legal accounting is preferred.
