Workshop and Field Service Technician Opportunities - Melbourne Our client, a leading manufacturer and supplier of municipal vehicles and equipment based in Sunshine West, is seeking skilled Workshop Service Technicians to join their team. Whether you're an experienced Light Vehicle Technician eager to transition to heavy-duty vehicles or already have a background in Heavy Duty Diesel mechanics, this role could be your perfect fit. Position Details:
Hours: Full-time, Monday-Thursday 7am-4pm, Friday 7am-1pm, with potential for overtime.
Role Responsibilities:
Perform service and maintenance on a variety of company vehicles, including trucks, vans, utes, and street sweepers.
Attend breakdowns to diagnose and repair faults.
Offer timely support, information, and assistance to customers.
Maintain accurate, up-to-date records and complete detailed reports.
Read and interpret engineering design drawings.
Troubleshoot, repair, and overhaul customer equipment.
Assemble mechanical components to meet design and build requirements.
Undertake fault diagnosis, repairs, and modifications.
Complete administrative records of work performed.
Comply with company-wide policies and procedures.
About You:
Cert 3 or 4 in Automotive Technician, or a Qualified Automotive/Diesel Mechanic
Service or Workshop Technician experience in the automotive industry preffered. Qualified tradesmen looking for a change will be considered
Comfortable with developing their knowledge and moving into a Field Service Technician
Familiarity with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
Valid driver's license.
Mechanically minded.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Strong understanding of OHS procedures.
Team player with a collaborative approach.
