Waiter Ensure restaurant is set and packed down for each service and to provide a high level of one on one customer service while running a section within the restaurant. Sommelier The Sommelier is responsible for the Icebergs Wine and Beverage program. The Sommelier understands that customer satisfaction always takes priority, but efficient beverage operations play a part in making that possible. Their responsibility is to improve the customer experience by food and beverage service whilst minimizing wastage and maintaining cellar efficiency and control. Benefits Salary $74,000 to $80,000 depending on experience 38 hours per week Full time positions available Competitive salary Opportunities for career growth Free food Training and development programs Work in a stunning beachfront location Staff discounts on dining Task & Responsibilities Waiter Can match food to wine/competently runs a section and will help others if required Competent using POS, can accurately enter orders, rarely makes mistakes Able to perform the runners duties and service of food to our standards in the restaurant Competent with the menu and explaining dishes to customers in regards to their dietary requirements Can recommend at least 3 three wines from each section of the list and be able to match wine with food Sommelier Ensure daily that the venue is set up to standard. Ensure daily wines by the glass, all wine fridges are stocked, any relevant event beverage is ready and in its required area. Maintaining the low and out of stock system ensuring that it is ready and up to date for every service. Ensuring all vintages are correct on the wine list. Maintaining Icebergs wine sequence of service Qualification & Experience AQF certificate III in Hospitality (Restaurant Front of House), or equivalent qualification as assessed by a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) AND at least 12 months relevant work experience (Note: 12 months relevant work experience is additional to job placements during course of study) OR At least 18 months’ relevant work experience in Australia on a temporary visa.
