CHEF POSITIONS AVAILABLE FOR LEADING RESTAURANT
8 At Trinity require chefs to join our team of 25+ staff in an iconic established restaurant.
Experienced chefs required to work within a busy environment in a hands-on role, in a busy kitchen, serving modern Italian/Australian food.
We are looking for a reliable and dedicated team player looking to take the next step in their hospitality career at the leading hospitality venue in the Lake Macquarie region serving upwards of 1000 guests per day.

THE ROLE
• Prepare and cook foods, either on a regular basis or for special guests or functions.
• Ensure consistency across the production of all prep and finished meals in all services.
• Inspect supplies, equipment and work areas to ensure conformance to established standards.
• Monitor food safety/cleaning practices to ensure that employees follow standards and regulations.
• Menu planning.
• Analyse recipes to assign prices to menu items, based on food, labour and overhead costs.
• Collaborate with management to plan and develop recipes and menus, factoring seasonality and projected sales.
• Demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to staff.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• Relevant qualifications or equivalent experience required.
• Relevant work experience as a chef required.
• Demonstrable experience as a chef in training and developing kitchen staff teams.
• Ability to effectively work in large kitchen teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Can handle pressure and fast paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and well groomed.
• Available to work days, evenings and weekends (8 At Trinity is currently closed on Mondays and Tuesdays).
This is a full time permanent position across a 7-day rotating roster. Shifts would involve a combination of mornings, day and evening work.
