12 month FTC - Data Engineer with Azure Data Factory Expertise required Your new company An organisation based in Sydney's northern beaches are seeking a skilled data engineer for a 12-month fixed-term contract with a high likelihood of extension. Your new role The data engineer will be responsible for migrating data from various databases to Azure. The company are setting up a new enterprise data warehouse (most likely on Fabric) and replacing legacy reporting systems and applications. Migrating stored procedures and scripts in the finance data warehouse to the cloud will also play a big part in this, and expertise in azure data factory is essential. What you'll need to succeed - An 'all-rounder' in data with core back-end data engineering skills, and demonstrated experience working on cloud migrations to Azure - Expert-level Azure Data Factory skills and knowledge, with knowledge of SSIS - Data analysis and Power BI reporting experience - Strong knowledge of SQL programming, SQL Server, Azure and cloud data-warehousing - Great communication skills, especially with regard to data translation and explaining technical terminology to non-technical stakeholders - Strong team-working skills - Ability to work on site in the Northern Beaches for a minimum of 3 days per week What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
