About the role The Cyber Security Officer, reporting to the Assistant Director Cyber Security Operations is responsible for supporting the Agencys Cyber Security Operations (CSO) capability. As part of the Cyber Security Team we:
Govern through providing a strong cyber security culture through awareness and education
Identify the assets and the associated security risks
Protect implementing the controls
Detect through the use of SIEM and vulnerability management cyber security evets
Respond to and recover from Cyber incidents
The CSO team is responsible for continuously monitoring, detecting and reporting on cyber security incidents and vulnerabilities to assess the level of threat to the agency, this includes risk identification and analysis. This includes providing the technical expertise to manage the Security Information and Event management (SIEM) platform, vulnerability scanning systems
