Aquna Sustainable Murray Cod are currently looking to recruit an experienced and qualified Aquaculture Farmer to join their team in Stanbridge and Griffith NSW
The successful candidate will need to undertake and possess:
- Assists Aquaculture technicians and scientists in raising and managing aquatic stock by undertaking technical fish husbandry tasks i.e sampling water and analysing date from ponds, pens and tanks etc
- Assist with the planning and coordination of general sit operations.
- Identify and implement treatments aligned with MCA standards
- Assist with the Grading and harvesting as required.
- Provide training to junior staff aligned with MCA standards.
- Maintain accurate husbandry and farm record aligned with MCA standards.
- Monitor spending to be aligned with MCA and site budget.
Skills and Abilities:
- Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma
- 5 years’ experience in a similar role
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Strong work ethic
- Ability to perform manual work outside in all weather conditions (Physically fit)
- Ability to work unsupervised.
- Good observation and communication skills
- Available for overtime as required
- Experience in animal production and/or farming
- Driver’s and Forklift licences required
- MR, HR, HC or MC licence
Salary range is $70,000-$90,000pa commensurate with experience
