The Role
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chemist to join our team in Perth. This is a hybrid role, offering the flexibility to work both remotely and from our state-of-the-art laboratory. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in developing, testing, and optimizing our herbal formulations to ensure the highest standards of quality and efficacy.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct research and development of herbal products, focusing on quality, safety, and efficacy.
• Perform analytical testing using various techniques (HPLC, GC-MS, UV-Vis, etc.) to assess the purity and potency of raw materials and finished products.
• Develop and validate analytical methods in accordance with industry standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, Quality Assurance, Production) to streamline product development and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Prepare technical reports, documentation, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Monitor trends and advancements in natural product chemistry to continuously improve our product offerings.
• Ensure compliance with relevant Australian regulatory standards (e.g., TGA, GMP).
Skills and Qualifications
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the natural products, pharmaceuticals, or nutraceuticals industry.
• Proficiency in analytical techniques (HPLC, GC-MS, FTIR, etc.).
• Strong understanding of natural product chemistry and herbal formulations.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Familiarity with Australian regulatory requirements (TGA, GMP) is highly desirable.
