Job title: Truck Driver (General)

Salary: AUD $75,000 Salary (Plus 11.5% Super)

Hours: Full time (38 hours p/w)

Location: 14 Langford St POORAKA SA 5095

Role:
Drive heavy trucks, removal vans, tankers and tow trucks to transport bulky goods and liquids.

Job Duties
• Fully understand how to operate and safely drive your assigned vehicle –
• Conducting pre-starts on trucks
• Follow all OH&S regulations and furthering the safety culture by ensuring strict adherence to road rules and transport legislation –
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
• Ensure contents are properly secured in a truck, flatbed to prevent damage/injury
• Pick-up and safely transport goods and deliver materials to various projects/intended destination
• Ensure completion of the scheduled runsheet within your shift
• Keep accurate records of deliveries and pickups and ensure the completed runsheet is provided to office at the end of your shift
• Drive safely and follow all laws and rules of driving to maintain a safe and healthy work environment
• Keep company truck clean and ensure it is well-maintained, has fuel, oil and is road compliant
• Yard work – taking deliveries, operating forklift etc
• Manual loading and unloading of freight
• Completing consignment notes and POD receipts
• Carrying out deliveries within strict time frames
• Liaising with business owners on a daily basis
• Adhering to strict fatigue and safety procedures
• Communicate with the office by phone to update them of issues or concerns relating to the driver’s run
• Follow scheduled jobs as per the provided runsheet sent the night prior
• Maintain communication with management to be informed of any damage to customer property, or the company’s property
• Treat customers with respect and ensure you provide outstanding customer service
• Ensure a solid understanding of fatigue management

Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience:
AQF Certificate II or III (ANZSCO Skill Level 4) with 1 year or 2 years full-time relevant work experience. At least one year of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications listed above.

Requirement:
• MR/HR Driving License with minimum 5 Years’ Experience - Previous Experience working in a sensitive freight environment
