Basin Sand Logistics (BSL) are currently recruiting for an experienced and qualified Boilermaker/ Welder to join their workshop in Broken Hill NSW 2880.
The successful candidate will need to undertake and possess:
- Determine the requirements for specific jobs by interpreting plans and designs as demonstrated in OEM manuals and technical drawings
- Plan, mark, drill, bend, cut and weld a variety of materials
- Assemble parts and structures after aligning by welding, bending or riveting
- Have the ability and experience to use a TIG and MIG welder
- Safely operate a variety of hand and power tools associated with their trade including various types of welders and oxy acetylene
- Utilise OEM manuals and procedures to perform repairs and maintenance to required standards
- Record and report all repairs and maintenance activities on the established documentation and hand to Workshop Clerk on completion
- Perform pre-start and post operational checks
- Accurately complete all applicable documentation throughout the course of the shift
- Utilise the tag out and isolation procedure as per the relevant standard operating procedure
- Be able to work in a range of changing environmental conditions
- Be physically fit to meet the demands of a rigorous role
Skills & Abilities:
- Certificate III in Engineering (Welding Fabrication) / Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrications Trade or relevant
- Minimum of three years’ experience in this role or similar
Salary range is $70,000 - $85,0000pa commensurate with experience
Hours: fulltime
