AESTEC Services is currently seeking experienced and qualified Diesel Fitters to join our highly skilled and qualified mechanical maintenance team in servicing and maintaining our vehicles and equipment.

Duties include but not limited to:
Running diagnostic tests on vehicles and equipment
Analyzing diagnostic test results
Resolve operational or technical problems to minimise interruptions resulting from breakdowns/ failures.
Repair and replace worn and defective parts and reassembling mechanical components, referring to service manuals as needed
Dismantle and remove engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components, and checking parts
Diagnose and test parts with the assistance of computers
Test driving vehicles to gauge performance
Performing preventative maintenance on service vehicles and equipment
Maintaining detailed records of serviced vehicles
Adhering to an inspection procedure checklist
Maintaining a parts inventory
Ensuring the cleanliness of the workshop and worksite
Requirements:
Trade qualification
Advanced knowledge of diesel engine components
Good IT and diagnostic skills
Physically fit
Proficiency with maintenance and repair tools
Good interpersonal skills
Excellent verbal communication skills
Good organization skills
A minimum of three years post trade experience in the same field

Salary: Between $85,000 and $90,000 per annum + Super
