Details: The Health Protection Service (HPS), Health Risk Facilities and Radiation Safety (HRF&RS) section is a seeking an Assistant Director to manage the Radiation Safety unit and be part of a multidisciplinary section within HPS comprising of: Radiation Safety; Health Care Facilities, and Infection Control.
As the Assistant Director in the Radiation Safety unit, you will be required to deliver a variety of regulatory activities related to radiation safety and help enforce the principles of radiation protection including the process of Justification, Optimisation and Limitation, and ensure that radiation exposures to workers, patients, members of the public and the environment are kept as low as reasonably achievable.
