Large Federal Government Department seeking experienced Capital Works Client-side Project Managers Your new company
Our client is a large, high-profile Federal Government Department who enhance agricultural industries and trade and manages the biosecurity risks to Australia. The dynamic Capital Works team are currently seeking 2x experienced EL1 Project Managers to join the team and deliver projects for the Department's national portfolio of properties.
Your new role
Under broad direction, you will proactively manage the design, development and delivery of construction capital works projects across the national portfolio.
You will manage the project program, overseeing delivery of multiple projects through the delivery life cycle, including funding bids, forecasting, progress and financial tracking and reporting.
You will run project meetings, liaise and consult with all stakeholders whilst providing advice and preparing project briefs for minor and complex projects.
Apply departments protective security requirements and implementation throughout each project phase
What you'll need to succeed
Demonstrated experience in managing capital works projects within a governance framework, guidelines and procedures
Strong knowledge of the commonwealth government procurement guidelines
Ideally, you will have construction industry qualifications or on-the-job Project Management experience delivering similar projects.
Strong leadership capabilities and high-level communication skills
Ability to travel as required for projects nationally
You must be an Australian citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline Security Clearance
