We are currently seeking applications for suitably qualified and experienced Boilermaker/ Welders with extensive Workshop/ Marine fabrication experience to join our great local team.
The Role
You will possess a commitment to work as a team player, be adaptable to a changing environment, have the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and be prepared to work overtime and in remote locations when required to carry out the following duties;
Reading and interpreting drawings or taking verbal instructions to mark out, cut, weld and assemble steel;
Perform welding in accordance with approved weld procedures and codes;
Interpret welding symbols to ensure correct welding techniques;
Carry out basic maintenance of welding machine and equipment to keep a clean and safe work area; and
Follow all workshop and site safety requirements.
The successful candidates must have previous workshop experience and be able to demonstrate the following essential personal attributes and skills:
Sound knowledge all aspects of fabrication, including structural, plate work & piping with carbon steel & exotic materials
FCAW/GTAW/MMAW welding experience
Trade Qualified
5+ years’ trade experience
Physically fit & enthusiastic
Ensuring all activities are completed in a safe and efficient manner
Identify and report potential safety hazards and take appropriate actions
Confinded Space Entry and Working Safely at Heights
Desirable Tickets (not essential)
Elevated Work Platform
Recognised training certification in rigging, dogging & forklift
Light Ridged Drivers licence
