Our client is a family owned and operated Timber business located in Jamestown SA 5491. Providing an extensive range or timber products.
Full time 38 hours per week
1 role on offer
Pay rate - $30 per hour as per Level 2 Vehicle Repair, Services & Retail Award 2020. Additional payments or penalties are as per the Award.
Working Thursday to Sunday. Usual start and finish times 6am to 2pm though this may change. On call duties as required
Roles will commence as of January 2024 and available for 48 months.
On site training and potential upskill opportunities
Role includes assisting trades persons with;
• Working with Light petrol and diesel vehicles, forklifts, trucks, truck trailers, loaders, forest machinery, fixed and petrol plant
• Distinguish a minor fault/error
• Repairs and servicing checks
• Pre start safety checks
• perform basic maintenance tasks
• Use of selected hand tools
Requirements for the role
• Have oral and written communication skills
• can work from simple instructions
• has some basic customer service skills
• has simple numerical equipment skills
• works under direct supervision either individually or in a team environment
• Undertake pre-employment medical which includes drug and alcohol testing
