You will be involved in planning and development of the operating system, installation and setup of server hardware, software, and databases, troubleshooting and resolving issues related to the system, ongoing maintenance and support of the operating system, ensuring optimal system integrity and security, managing system backup processes, monitoring and ensuring optimal system performance, developing and maintaining the architecture of databases, including data structures, tables, dictionaries, and naming conventions, to guarantee the precision and completeness of all master data files, executing the operational setup and preventive maintenance of backup systems, and recovery protocols, and enforcing security measures and integrity controls, implementing and managing database documentation, guidelines, policies, and procedures, conducting tests on database systems and upgrades, which includes debugging, tracking, reproducing, logging, and resolving all identified issues in accordance with approved quality testing scripts, procedures, and processes, assuming responsibility for the processes, procedures, and operational management related to system security and disaster recovery planning, collaborating with security vendors, suppliers, service providers, and external resources; analysing, recommending, installing, and maintaining software security applications; and monitoring compliance with contractual obligations, performance delivery, and service level agreements, diagnosing, resolving, and repairing server-related hardware and software issues, including workstations and communication infrastructure, while providing troubleshooting and service support, preparing and maintaining documentation, policies, and instructions, as well as recording and detailing operational procedures and system logs, ensuring the design of computer sites facilitates the proper integration and functionality of all components while monitoring and optimizing network performance, and continuously assessing the current computer site to identify future network requirements and making recommendations for improvements in the deployment of future servers and networks.
To thrive in this role, you will need to have a bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in relevant field, minimum 1 year of relevant experience, and excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
