We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Truck Driver to join our team based in Bathurst area. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a commitment to safety, and a passion for delivering excellent service. This role involves transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring timely delivery while adhering to all regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

· Safely operate heavy vehicles to transport goods to designated locations within specified timeframes.

· Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, ensuring it is in good working condition.

· Efficiently load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of items to prevent damage.

· Plan and follow the most efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries while considering traffic, road conditions, and regulations.

· Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery logs, mileage, and any incidents that occur during transport.

· Adhere to all safety protocols, traffic laws, and company policies, promoting a safe work environment.

· Interact with clients and customers professionally, addressing any questions or concerns regarding deliveries.

Qualifications & Skills

· Proven experience as a truck driver, with a strong understanding of vehicle operation and safety practices.

· Valid Heavy Rigid (HR) or Heavy Combination (HC) driver's license.

· Familiarity with local and interstate routes, as well as relevant traffic laws and regulations.

· Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and loading cargo.

· Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members and customers.

· Ability to address challenges on the road and make quick decisions to ensure timely deliveries.

· Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting

· Forklift licence preferred.

· Must pass drug & alcohol testing prior to induction.
