Lead Product Readiness & Operational Support

Vestas Australia is looking for a Lead Product Readiness & Technical Support.
This role involves providing technical and operational support for day-to-day site installation activities across the APAC region. It includes engineering implementation and operational readiness for tools and wind turbine generator (WTG) platforms, as well as the creation of technical documentation. Responsibilities also encompass the prioritization, development, implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of products, tools, and materials.
Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with legal requirements, construction and safety codes, and other regulatory requirements
Provide day-to-day Site Installation technical support
Work closely with the LEAN team for site execution optimization & management
Implementation and management of new engineering initiatives (e.g. Tools, Materials and products)
incl. time, cost, and quality impact
Development and implementation of site execution cost-saving initiatives
Progress reporting to Senior Management
Provide clear direction for Vestas site personnel (if and where applicable)
Maintain a good working relationship with the client (if and where applicable)
Support all operational stakeholders across the APAC region (e.g., Sales, bid and sourcing
department)
Engage and influence internal, external, local, and global stakeholders to take appropriate action to
improve overall reliability and customer satisfaction.
Supports the business case creation, validation, and escalation of solution development and upgrades
associated with turbine components.
Qualification:
Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar position.
• B.S. or M.S. in Engineering from an accredited university• Professional technical understanding of Wind Turbine mechanical and electrical systems, root cause
analysis, reliability engineering, fault analysis, and solution development
• Professional methodical and problem-solving skills; ability to develop clear and repeatable solutions to
complex problems and use sound judgment in choices
• Experience in providing general administrative and technical support.
• Advanced IT skills, e.g. MS Office, MS Project user or key user.
• Preferably first experience in people management, alternatively strong interest in it.
• Cost awareness and customer orientation.
• Managed teams in a major project portfolio environment,
• Developed and implementation of best practice systems and procedures.
• Managed sub-contractors in remote site locations e.g. crane, excavation, electrical, civil.
• Management and reporting of budgetary requirements.
• Experience providing service with direct customer interface.
• Experience in high-pressure situations in major construction management environments.
Competencies:
•Be the point of contact for Global construction interphases (LEAN, InCom, Product Management, VPS,
factories, etc.)
• Provide effective support that achieves a highly aligned, engaged, and motivated installation team
that produces high-level results against Key Performance Indicators and Operational Objectives.
• Management and implementation of product updates and engineering solutions which include. Tools,
Material and products (internal or external)
• Support and technical documentation discussions and improvements
• Support in compiling internal and external reports to communicate improvements
• Analyse, manage and mitigate risks (Time & cost) - where applicable
• Be the escalation point for operational topics during the execution phase
• Improve safety culture within the organization.
