Our client is a world leader in their field, supporting Defence with technical solutions and services. Exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis in Southern Sydney.
Your new role
As an Engineer, you will provide direct professional engineering support to the Manager and the Products and Support business line. You will be responsible for asset management and through life support, analysis, and technical assurance tasks.
You will be accountable for compliance with the global engineering processes and procedure, methods, standards and regulations across the Australian business for all aspects of service and project delivery. You'll actively engage with relevant technical authorities, support to deliver bids and enquiries and maintain drawings and technical document revision control via engineering change control processes.
What you'll need to succeed
Ability to gain Defence Security Clearances
Qualification in Engineering (Mechanical is preferable) with experience in the mechanical /production /maintenance engineering environment
Component with updating, maintaining, and controlling drawings, documentation, and procedures - Experience with Quality and Processes is essential
Experience of using Solidworks for drafting, modelling and design is desirable.
Demonstrated experience in configuration and configuration change management (PLM Systems)
Excellent communication skills
Be able to manage multiple projects and tasks while meeting key deliverables on time
Primary software aptitudes: 3D Modelling (sollidworks desired) / 2D Drawing (AutoCAD desirable) / Lasacom PLM/ Advitium / MS Office Suite
Valid Driving Licence
