Gold Coast Electroplating t/a Zinc Coatz Pty Ltd is seeking qualified or experienced Electroplaters to join our professional staff on a full-time basis in our state-of-the-art facilities.
We have over our 32 years in business, with a team of Australia’s most experienced chrome electroplaters and polishers, we service a range of both domestic and commercial customers from our newly upgraded factory with an environmentally friendly water recycling and treatment plant. We are the best facility in Australia and fully licenced for chrome, zinc, copper, cobalt, nickel, brass, and gold plating services.
If you are based in Australia and have the required qualification (e.g. Certificate III in Engineering in Production Systems) but lack experience, we still encourage you to apply to join and learn from our experienced team.
Duties & responsibilities:
· Follow correct racking procedures to ensure goods are securely attached to plating bars and at correct distance from each other
· Attach plating bars to over-head crane and operate the crane safely.
· Select metals and solutions for each plating
· Inspect all goods to be plated for any defects prior to plating
· Complete three-step coating process
· Monitor performance of plating tanks and alert Operations Manager to any issues related to maintenance of the equipment or plating solutions.
· Alert any quality control issues to Operations Manager when such concerns may arise.
· Comply with all procedures related to maintenance of plant, equipment and factory floor including general housekeeping.
· Assist with maintaining communal staff amenities spaces in clean and working order.
· Inspect all goods upon completion of plating to ensure superior quality of the final finish
Experience & attributes:
· Relevant Certificate III or Certificate IV
· A minimum 3 years of relevant work experience is required for overseas trained applicant
Successful candidates should have:
· Knowledge of safety protocols in electroplating environment
· Keen attention to detail
· Effective communication and collaboration skills with teammates
· Stamina and dexterity to handle repetitive tasks
